LumenBooks is an interactive digital reading library designed for English language learners of all backgrounds. If you want to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world fluency, our extensive library offers captivating stories that make reading English engaging and practical.

Every story is calibrated according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). How Our Stories Are Made
All stories on LumenBooks are original works of fiction written for English learners. Names, characters and events are fictional. Drafting is assisted by AI writing tools, and every story is then reviewed, level-checked and published by the site operator. Author names shown on the stories are pen names used for LumenBooks’ own original fiction. Stories are written at a specific CEFR level so vocabulary and grammar stay consistent for that level.
